The day was 9th September, 2017. The resident Pastor Rev. Vincent Torwonbo An-or had completed barely four
months in the consistory, when he invited the wives of God to a meeting by 900am on the said date. He had
discovered that such an association was non-existence.
Thirty women were in attendance. The pastor read from the book of 1kings 18:8-12 and delivered a short
message. Thereafter, he told the women the purpose of the meeting and the importance of having such an association in the consistory. The women were all disposed to this noble idea. Inauguration
of the Association of God’s Wives was done there and then by Rev. V.T An-or.
The association that started with 30 members in 2007 has 48 members in 2024. Women join the association on their
own because there is provision for formal invitation.
